LAN Formatique
Ever evolving, LAN Formatique is an artist in a constant state of flux. From inauspicious beginnings in the cold world of IDM through the melodic electronica his 2006 debut album, "Goodnight Noises Everywhere", he has never allowed himself to stagnate. Fusing together such disparate elements as electronic glitches, orchestral arrangements and distorted guitar work, the music of LAN Formatique is one that comfortably straddles genres and remains wholly personal.

The Sadness of Distances
format: MP3 - date: July 2009
The sophomore outing from LAN Formatique, "The Sadness of Distances", sees a more mature and confident sound emerging from this Scottish artist. Blending mellow electronic textures with post-rock guitars, field recordings and bold acoustic percussion, it offers a unique expression of ideas and emotions. Adding another dimension are the vocal collaborations with electro chanteuse Céline and award-winning author Alasdair Gray, whose words and voices blend perfectly with the album's tone. This is a love letter to lonely nights and transatlantic romance.
"The Sadness of Distances" features nine original tracks plus remixes from Subheim and Detritus. This download release is encoded at 320k CBR and includes a PDF of artwork by Eye.Lyft.
